I use the Cheemo Potato/Cheese perogies. I have made this casserole with the cottage cheese perogies as well, but it wasn't as good. This is one of Erik's all time favorite suppers - what he doesn't know is that it is SO EASY he could probably make it himself!! I'm not complaining though!!!!!

ooo, yum, I am trying this one! I usually make my own peroges but never freeze them. I will have to start doing that. I bet this recipe would be good with some freshly baked baccon crumbled over top too?

This was good but we found the onion flavor too strong. Next time I would saute the onions in the butter first. I'll definitely try it again though!

Jobina - OOps, that was my fault. I intended to write that I omit the onion (because we found it too strong too!) and just add a few onion flakes.

hey Am - Rod doesn't like mushroom soup..have you ever tried it with any other type of cream soup?

Janelle- nope, I've never tried it with anything besides mushroom soup. I imagine that other soups would be tasty as well - cream of broccoli or cream of chicken maybe??

I made a version of this recipe last night. I sauteed onion and celery and used cream of chicken soup. I also added Epicure's Herb and Garlic Dip Mix and Cheese, Chives and Bacon dip mix to the sauce. Everyone (including the kids) really like it.

It's fabulous with tomato soup as well!

I add a frozen veggie medley with this too it makes me feel a little bit better about eating just perogies for dinner!

This 5-quart model will help you make casseroles, soup, and
roasts easily. Take this 5 minutes to go ahead and clean up the slow cooker.
After you gain some experience, you can begin to improvise
with chicken or beef broth, wine, tomato juice, etc.
